Music & Worship

It is our desire that in the music and worship ministry, we remain true to scripture, provide the opportunity for our people to worship the way they feel led, and allow God and God alone to receive all the glory. When Jesus was asked, "What is the greatest commandment"? He said, "To love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind". How do we do that? We worship Him. As believers in the Lord, Jesus Christ, worship is our ultimate priority. We are to worship Him in such a way privately and personally, that when we come together for corporate worship, our worship together is the manifest outpouring of the overflow from our private worship we've already had throughout the week.

In worshiping corporately, we allow God to speak to us through His Word, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We worship Him. We sing to Him. We clap and lift holy hands unto Him. We give Him all the glory that is due His name. We are to worship Him in spirit and truth. Our worship is not supposed to be dead, dull, dry, formal, frozen and frigid! We serve an everpresent living living God, Who has saved us from our sins, cleansed us from all unrighteousness, and made us new and complete in our Lord Jesus Christ. How can we help but praise Him?!

Musically speaking, our worship services would be considered blended in style. We use the great hymns of the faith and songs of praise and worship (called choruses). We also use a variety of musical styles. It is our desire to provide opportunities for God's people to worship Him through music, and to prepare our hearts for the preaching of the Word of God.
