We at Cedar Hills care about people, all people, our Christian family as well as those who still need to hear of God's love through Jesus Christ. We are challenged by the call of Christ on our lives to fulfill both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

The Great Commandment - Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? And He said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.'"

The Great Commission - Matthew 28:18-20
"And Jesus came up and spoke to them saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

To aid us in fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission we have established CMI: Christian Maturity Institute. Several small group studies are offered on Wednesday evenings as well as other times set by a particular group. In addition, Pastor Jerry will begin a study entitled, "Intimacy with the Infinite", on Wednesday evening during the prayer meeting hour, beginning in July. We will also be offering at least one group study of "Experiencing God" this fall. See Pastor Jerry if you have special interest in a particular study.

Our goal for CMI is derived from Paul's letter to the Ephesians, chapter 4, verses 11-14:
"And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ."
